Job Description:
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
No prior certification required
0-1 years of experience (ideal for those new to healthcare)
Motivated to pursue STNA certification
Compassionate, patient-centred approach to care
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Responsibilities:
Assist with housekeeping and laundry services, including trash removal and making and changing unoccupied beds
Support meal service by transporting residents to and from the dining room, delivering trays, and creating a positive dining experience
Respond promptly to resident call lights and frequently check on residents who are unable to call for help
Provide 1:1 observations as assigned
Communicate with the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse regarding any changes in resident conditions, concerns, or grievances
Offer compassionate customer service, companionship, and engagement in activities
Assist clinical staff with resident comfort needs (such as checking sitting position, hydration, etc.)
Assist with personal care in accordance with state regulatory guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned
