Job Description:

Veracity, a trusted healthcare staffing agency, is hiring a Resident Care, LPN to lead and oversee resident care operations in assisted living settings. This role is dedicated to ensuring the highest practicable quality of assisted living services while maximising residents’ individual capabilities. The Resident Care Director will manage staff, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and create a supportive environment for residents, families, and care teams.

Requirements:

ASN degree or higher from an accredited college or university.

Active LPN licence in good standing in Ohio.

Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in senior care or a related setting.

Current CPR and First Aid certifications..

Strong knowledge of nursing administration, laws, and regulations in assisted living.

Excellent communication, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Administrative and Planning:

  • Develop and implement resident care goals and evaluate outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with budget goals, focusing on labour and expense control.
  • Create and manage Resident Care staff schedules to ensure appropriate 24/7 coverage.

Resident Care Focus:

  • Conduct resident assessments, develop service plans, and communicate with residents and families.
  • Ensure timely incident report investigations and documentation of resident status.
  • Monitor compliance with Infection Control and other resident care regulations.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with healthcare providers for resident care needs.
  • Resolve resident and family concerns in collaboration with the Executive Director.

Medication Management Focus:

  • Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with medication assistance records (MARs).
  • Audit medication records, storage areas, and narcotics inventory regularly.
  • Communicate with provider pharmacies to maintain medication order accuracy.

Supervisory Requirements:

  • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise Resident Care staff.
  • Act as a role model with an approachable leadership style.
