We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Manager to lead the nutritional services team at one of our long-term care clients. The ideal candidate will ensure that residents receive high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position plays a vital role in supporting residents’ health and well-being by overseeing meal preparation, staff management, and nutritional planning.

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; a degree or certification in dietary management, food services, or a related field preferred.
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or eligibility to complete CDM certification within a specified timeframe.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in dietary services, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local dietary regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in menu planning and nutritional guidelines for diverse populations, including older adults.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage a diverse team of employees.
Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Plan, direct, and oversee all dietary department operations, including meal preparation, serving, and sanitation.
Develop and implement menus that meet residents’ nutritional needs, preferences, and any physician-prescribed dietary restrictions.
Supervise, train, and evaluate dietary staff to ensure high standards of performance and professionalism.
Monitor inventory and oversee procurement of food, beverages, and supplies within budgetary guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Conduct regular audits of dietary operations and procedures to ensure quality and compliance.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including dietitians, to address residents’ nutritional requirements.
Maintain accurate records related to dietary services, including resident meal plans, staffing schedules, and supply usage.
Address and resolve resident or family concerns related to dietary services promptly and professionally.
Participate in facility-wide staff meetings, care plan meetings, and training sessions as needed.
