Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a focus on nursing leadership; BSN preferred.Â
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment; certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., ACLS, PALS) may be required.Â
- Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience with a proven track record of leadership or supervisory roles.Â
- Strong leadership and management skills.Â
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Â
- Proficiency in clinical assessment and decision-making.Â
- Ability to handle complex and emergency situations effectively.Â
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks related to patient care and unit management.Â
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff on the unit, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.Â
- Ensure that patient care is delivered according to established standards and protocols.Â
- Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers within the unit.Â
- Serve as a resource and support to nursing staff, providing guidance and resolving clinical issues as they arise.Â
- Conduct patient assessments, review care plans, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Â
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team.Â
- Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.Â
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures.Â
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures.Â
- Handle administrative tasks, including documentation and reporting of patient care and staff activities.Â
Pay Rate:
$40 - $55 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
