The Dining Services Aide plays a vital role in providing quality dining experiences for residents, patients, and guests in healthcare facilities, senior living communities, or other similar environments. This position involves assisting with meal preparation, serving food, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and ensuring that all dietary needs are met in accordance with established guidelines. Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.Â
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or healthcare settings preferred but not required.Â
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Â
- Ability to follow dietary guidelines and food safety regulations.Â
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently as needed.Â
- Basic understanding of sanitation and hygiene practices in a dining environment.Â
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks associated with food service.Â
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents, patients, and guests.Â
- Ensure that food is served in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual dietary restrictions.Â
- Set up dining areas, including arranging tables, chairs, and table settings.Â
- Clean and sanitize dining areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils after meals.Â
- Assist with dishwashing and the proper disposal of waste materials.Â
- Monitor food inventory levels and communicate needs to the kitchen staff.Â
- Provide friendly and respectful customer service to all residents, patients, and guests.Â
- Report any food-related concerns or issues to the supervisor promptly.Â
Pay Rate:
$12 - $16 per hour, depending on experience and location.
