Job Description:

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This cook job involves working closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all meals are prepared according to established recipes, presentation standards, and food safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. We are hiring cooks who are flexible and available to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification preferred. 
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen; experience in a specific cuisine (e.g., Italian, American, Asian) is a plus. 
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices. 
  • Ability to follow recipes and presentation guidelines accurately. 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. 
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items. 
  • ServSafe or similar food safety certification preferred. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. 
  • Ensure that all food is cooked and presented according to quality standards and within specified timeframes. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas. 
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering food supplies as needed. 
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safe handling and preparation of food. 
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. 
  • Assist in menu planning and development as needed. 
  • Handle special dietary requests and accommodate food allergies as required. 
  • Participate in kitchen cleaning duties and maintain compliance with health regulations. 

Pay Rate:

$15 - $20 per hour, depending on experience and location.
