Job Description:

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks, ensuring that all areas are sanitary and presentable, and supporting overall facility maintenance. The Custodian will work closely with the facilities team to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Duties include performing tasks typically associated with a custodian job, such as managing daily upkeep and maintaining a clean work environment. 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • Previous experience in a custodial or janitorial role is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. 
  • Ability to operate cleaning machinery. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas. 
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. 
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures. 
  • Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly. 
  • Replenish supplies in restrooms and break rooms. 
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the facilities manager. 
  • Ensure that cleaning supplies are used efficiently and ordered as needed. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the facilities manager.

Pay Rate:

$15 - $20 per hour (depending on experience and location)
