Job Description:

The Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech) is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in various facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all occupants. This role involves performing routine and deep cleaning tasks, managing waste disposal, and supporting overall facility upkeep to meet health and safety standards. Janitor duties are included in this role, such as managing cleaning operations and ensuring high standards of hygiene.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Previous experience in environmental services or custodial work preferred. 
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment. 
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. 
  • Good physical condition and ability to perform manual tasks. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas. 
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers. 
  • Manage and dispose of waste and hazardous materials according to safety regulations. 
  • Restock and replenish cleaning supplies and paper products. 
  • Report maintenance and repair needs to the appropriate personnel. 
  • Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and safety guidelines. 
  • Assist with special cleaning projects and emergency clean-ups as needed. 
  • Provide excellent customer service to facility occupants and address any concerns or requests. 

Pay Rate:

$16 - $20 per hour, depending on experience and location
