Job Description:

The Executive Chef is the creative and managerial leader of the kitchen, responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, including menu creation, food preparation, and staff management. Requirements:

  • Culinary degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or similar environment. 
  • Expertise in various culinary techniques and cuisines. 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities. 
  • Ability to create innovative menus that balance creativity with cost-effectiveness. 
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. 
  • Proficiency in inventory management and cost control. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Ability to stand for long periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and lift up to 50 pounds. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the culinary team, including hiring, training, and supervising kitchen staff. 
  • Develop and design creative menus that align with the restaurant’s concept and customer preferences. 
  • Oversee daily food preparation, ensuring all dishes meet the highest quality standards in taste, presentation, and consistency. 
  • Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. 
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to meet budgetary goals. 
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction. 
  • Create and implement seasonal specials and promotional menus. 
  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new culinary techniques and ingredients into the menu. 
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues related to food quality or service. 
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment, fostering teamwork and professional growth within the kitchen staff. 

Pay Rate:

$70,000 - $100,000, depending on experience, location, and establishment. Performance-based bonuses and incentives may be available based on restaurant profitability and customer satisfaction.
